DUCAL PALACE - Doge's apartment
from April 9, 2020 to August 30, 2020
The fascinating history of the work through the centuries, from its origins in Italy, and in particular in Venice, to the contemporary era. Music, painting, sculpture, architecture, the lyric work brings together different languages of art and is a multisensory experience.
Its history is influenced by historical, social, political and economic factors, its construction goes through many phases and involves different subjects: clients, impresarios, composers, singers, costume designers, set designers, and finally the public.
The exhibition will be a multisensory experience, with a long gallery of paintings, drawings, clothes, booklets, sets, and memorable premières will be re-proposed in an unprecedented fruition. It will be a tribute to Venice as the birthplace of melodrama and to Italy as the place of choice for the most important names in the history of opera. In collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, with the support of Sennheiser.
On the occasion of your visit we will be happy to receive you at the headquarters of Ca 'Venezia Immobiliare.
